5 Dragons is Aristocrat's original dragon slot built around a player choice when its free-games feature begins. A player can choose a longer set of free games with smaller multipliers, a shorter set with higher multipliers, or the Mystery Choice where the game selects the combination. The choice changes the pattern of possible returns, not the result of any future reel stop. Later products called 5 Dragons Gold, Pearl, Reign and Ultra add their own reel and wild features. This entry describes the original choice-based bonus and does not assign those later mechanics to it.

The library also explains the difference between lines, ways and clusters to help put these mechanics in context.
