Wild

A wild substitutes according to an edition's symbol rules. In Starburst, the expanding star also triggers a respin. A wild should not automatically be described as replacing every special symbol.

Scatter

A scatter has its own qualifying pattern or feature condition. Book of Dead uses scatters to enter its expanding-symbol free spins. The required count belongs to that edition.

Respin and free spin

These both describe further reel activity, but their rules differ. A respin feature may retain positions or reset a counter; a free-spin sequence may use a selected symbol or a continuing multiplier. Read what persists between spins.

Side bet

A side bet is an additional wager with its own conditions. Evolution Teen Patti evaluates Pair Plus and 6 Card Bonus separately from Ante and Play.
