Legacy of Dead returns to the Book of Dead setting through an escaped pharaoh. A Tomb symbol substitutes as a Wild during the base game. Three or more Tomb Scatters start free spins, so the same icon has two roles.
At the start of free spins, a symbol is randomly selected as the Special Expanding Symbol. When it appears, it expands over its reel before the feature result is counted. More Tomb Scatters can add spins. That expanding-symbol selection is different from Ankh of Anubis, where five collected Ankhs add Wilds during free spins.
