Side Bet City is Evolution's paytable-based poker show set in a neon, 1980s-style studio. Players select a three-card, five-card or seven-card hand wager, or the All Lose position, before cards are dealt. Qualifying poker combinations determine the result against a paytable. There is no dealer hand to beat and no raise, fold or draw decision after betting. That makes its poker imagery different from Casino Hold'em and Ultimate Texas Hold'em, where a player makes a decision during the hand and competes against the house.
